Greetings students and parents! I am excited to share this 2016-2017 school year with you!  Be prepared for there will be many challenges awaiting you in the classroom.  It will be an adventure in reading and writing.  This groundwork will be the foundation for your future.

A 1984 graduate of Beaver Local,  I grew up in the tiny little hollow known as Elkton, and I am happy to be back teaching where I grew up as a child.    I earned my Bachelor's of Seconday Education with a concentration in Comprehensive Communications from Youngstown State University and returned to earn my Master's degree in English.  I have been teaching at Beaver Local since 1998 and taught three years previously at Marlington High School, a district very similar to Beaver Local.  I currently teach college level classes through the College Credit  Plus Program in conjunction with Youngstown State University, and I also taught College Writing for Kent State University at the Twinsburg Regional Campus.

I live in the Salem area with my husband of 20 plus years and have two sons.  Besides teaching at Beaver Local, I enjoy traveling, golfing, fishing, boating, and of course reading.
