Each week, students will be given a new word list. These lists correlate with a story we are reading in class. Each list focuses on a specific spelling pattern. The first day of every week (typically Monday) students will write the words in their agenda. This allows the students and parents a place to be aware of our current list. During the week, we will do various spelling activities at school; however the majority of spelling practice will occur at home. This means that students should practice spelling their words aloud or on paper with you. On Thursday, I suggest having students take a practice written test at home. Our tests are on Friday. If there is a short week, we will take the test on Thursday.
