- Your child will receive a short paragraph.  They are responsible for reading it 8 or more times to practice fluency.  On Thursday mornings, I will listen to them read aloud and comment on his/her reading.  To become a fluent reader, your child should be pausing at commas, stopping at periods, reading with expression (when necessary), reading the questions asked, and anticipating the next words to come from the character.  Fluent readers will flow in their reading rather than sounding choppy.

- Parents: you will sign the weekly fluency log

- I appreciate your honesty!
